Born on 13^th March, 1899. Educated at fergusson College, Poona ; set up practice at the Hyderabad Bar, 1924.

One of the Secretaries of  Hyderabad Social Conference ; was member of Hyderabad Reforms Association ; one of the Hyderabad Political Conference ; Executive member State Congress, 1938 ; he was selected Secretary of the People’s Convention, 1937, and of the Hyderabad Subjects League ; President, Andhra Congress for three years ;  took active part in the “Quit India” Movement and courted imprisonment ; Minister for Revenue and Education, Andhra, 1950-1952 ; Chief  Minister, Hyderabad State, 1952-1956 ; Governor, Kerala State, 1956-1960 ; Uttar Pradesh , 1960-1962.
